A point to point bridge solves this by beaming a network connection wirelessly between two fixed antennas, one at the source, one at the destination, without trenching a single metre of cable. It needs a clear line of sight between the two points, but where that’s available, it’s a genuinely reliable way to extend a full network connection to a separate structure.
Mesh wifi systems, for whole-property coverage without full cabling
A mesh system uses multiple units working together as one network, automatically handing your devices off between nodes as you move through the property. It’s a solid middle ground when you want proper whole-home or whole-property coverage but running a cable to every point isn’t practical. Compared to a basic extender, a mesh system holds speed much better and gives a more seamless experience as you move around.
Wifi extenders, the quick fix with real limitations
