No Signal? – Booster issues could be the cause.

Why You’re Seeing “No Signal” on Your TV

If you’re watching this video, chances are you’ve seen the dreaded “No Signal” message on your television. One of the most common causes of this issue is a booster failure.

A quick way to diagnose the problem is to head outside and look up at your TV antenna. If you notice that the booster is hanging upside down—like the one shown in the video above—that’s a red flag.

TV signal boosters are designed to be weatherproof only when mounted correctly, upright on the mast. Over time, exposure to wind, rain, and sun can cause cable ties to weaken and snap. When that happens, the booster can flip upside down, allowing water to enter through the bottom.

Once water gets inside, it can damage the electronic components. Sometimes the booster might dry out and start working again temporarily, but once corrosion sets in, it’s only a matter of time before it fails completely.

How to Check If This Is Happening to You

Take a moment to step outside and inspect your antenna. If you’ve recently received one of our flyers in the mail, there’s a good chance your booster looks exactly like the one in our video—hanging upside down and exposed to the elements.
